finally got a telephoto lens so have been testing it out. Took the shot above with the Sony FE 70-200mm f/4.0 G OSS fitted to my Sony a7R. Great combo. Hopefully will have more to share throughout the trip.

Really happy to announce that I’ll be taking a break from the studio this summer to play the Lightning in a Bottle festival on July 14th, 2013. Always wanted to check out LIB, excited to be a part of it.

We’re going to take a break from recording the next Tycho album to play a special run of shows on the west coast next month including two nights right here in San Francisco. Really excited to end off this past year of shows back home. We’ll be sharing some new songs and visuals and a few other surprises. See you soon!

First up, Christopher Willits will be opening the Jan 18th date at the Independent in San Francisco where he will be debuting some new video work. All of the other dates will feature DOOMbird as opener, who just released an excellent EP.

Treasure Island Music Festival is this weekend in SF and we have a couple things to announce. First off, Tycho will be playing at 7PM on Saturday. There will also be an ISO50 / Tycho booth with prints, clothing, and music where we’ll be doing a meetup before and after the show. Scott, Jakub, Alex, and Jonathan will be at the booth from 4-5PM on Saturday and then after the Tycho set the whole band will be hanging out over there as well so drop by and say hello. Hope to see you out there!
Headed west! Rolled out of Bozeman, MT today — halfway to Seattle for the Ghostly Showcase at Decibel Fest this Saturday (9/29/12) with Matthew Dear and Lusine at Showbox. Going to be a great night, we have a 10K projector lined up so the visuals should be especially intense for this one. See you in Seattle!
As you may know, I’m on the road right now for the Tycho Fall Tour with The Album Leaf. Really excited to announce that for the first time, we’ll be streaming a show live over the internet via Livestream. The show is tomorrow night in Nashville, TN at Exit/IN (tickets here) but you can watch live from anywhere starting at 10:30PM Eastern Time (03:30 GMT) via this Livestream page. It’s going to be a fun night, hope you can join us.
