UPDATE: Added another LA show and a show in Santa Ana.
We’re going to take a break from recording the next Tycho album to play a special run of shows on the west coast next month including two nights right here in San Francisco. Really excited to end off this past year of shows back home. We’ll be sharing some new songs and visuals and a few other surprises. See you soon!
The first 100 people to buy tickets for each show will receive this limited edition poster, so be sure to get your tickets soon as they’ll be gone fast.
Also really excited to announce that some good friends will be supporting for these shows. First up, Christopher Willits will be opening the Jan 18th date at the Independent in San Francisco where he will be debuting some new video work. All of the other dates will feature DOOMbird as opener, who just released an excellent EP.

To celebrate we’re giving away a pair of tickets to the show. Just drop a comment here or on the Tycho Facebook Page answering the following question: What was the name of the first Tycho release?
IMPORTANT: Only enter if you live near Portland and intend to go to the show tonight. Thanks and good luck!
Headed west! Rolled out of Bozeman, MT today — halfway to Seattle for the Ghostly Showcase at Decibel Fest this Saturday (9/29/12) with Matthew Dear and Lusine at Showbox. Going to be a great night, we have a 10K projector lined up so the visuals should be especially intense for this one. See you in Seattle!
I’ve been on the road for the Tycho Summer Tour for the past few weeks and it’s been a great trip. Met a lot of great people and played for some incredible audiences. We’ve finally reached the East Coast (Portland, ME show tonight!) and we’ll end up in NYC for the Webster Hall show this Saturday, July 14th. I’ve never been to Webster Hall but I’ve heard great things so really excited for this one. If you caught the last couple shows at Music Hall of Williamsburg I’ve got some new stuff lined up for this one. New visuals, new lighting, and a new song. Can’t wait to bring it all to Webster; from the pictures I saw it looks like a great space.
Tomorrow we’ll also be playing a late-night (2:45-4am) set at Camp Bisco; really looking forward to that one.
Some tickets to the Webster Hall show are still available, get yours here.
Tycho is on the road and we’ve still got plenty of dates coming up. Last night was Chicago’s Lincoln Hall — thanks by the way to everyone there, we had an incredible time. Tonight we’ll be playing one of our favorite venues, The Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI. This will be our second time playing the Crofoot and if last time was any indication, this should be something special.
I just finished up programming the lighting on a new rig we had made (an Arduino-controlled LED array designed by Michael Potvin. We debuted the system in Chicago last night and everything seemed to work well. Should look really cool tonight with the Crofoot’s already amazing lighting system. We also built a custom 20ft. screen for this tour so all visual elements should be really solid tonight. If you aren’t anywhere near Pontiac, we still have a string of dates coming up, hopefully one in your town:
JUL 07 – The Crofoot Ballroom – Pontiac, MI
JUL 08 – Beachland Ballroom – Cleveland, OH
JUL 10 – The Hoxton – Toronto, Canada
JUL 11 – La Sala Rossa – Montreal, Canada
JUL 12 – Port City Music Hall – Portland, ME
JUL 13 – Camp Bisco 11 – Pattersonville, NY
JUL 14 – Webster Hall – New York, NY
JUL 16 – Rex Theater – Pittsburgh, PA
JUL 17 – Ace of Cups – Columbus, OH
JUL 18 – Turner Hall Ballroom – Milwaukee, WI
JUL 19 – Gabe’s – Iowa City, IA
JUL 20 – The Outland – Springfield, MO
JUL 22 – Belly Up – Aspen, CO
We’re heading out again in September so if your town is not on this list, hopefully we’ll have you covered next time around. We’ve also go a couple surprises coming up overseas so stay tuned. Hope everyone is having a great summer, see you soon!
To cap off our European tour, our friends at Miscelanea in Barcelona will be hosting us for a small show this Thursday (1-3-12). Only 80 spots available! We’ll have a lot of poster prints and Tycho vinyl there as well. Hope to see you there…
