Fischerspooner
I’ve been meaning to post something about Fischerspooner for a while, they’re definitely one of my favorite electronic bands. They also have a very good visual sensibility with a lot of great design / imagery surrounding their releases. The top image is from their latest album, the middle is Casey Spooner, and the last is the video for Fischerspooner’s cover of Wire’s classic The 15th. Certainly my favorite FS song. Since Youtube sound quality is terrible, I’ve posted the MP3 itself below.

Amazing band with a certain “berlinette” sound. I have to say everytime I hear stuff from the Kompakt label I immediatly get reminded of your illustrations. They should hire you as a cover artist.

the first is an experiment on well… ‘designing the news’ and it has some beautiful graphs. the second another good one with beautiful data visualisation.
PS: always been curious on what you consider great designed blogs/websites since your sidebar doesn’t really deepens into other people’s sites.

I like them a lot, normally I like the bands you suggest here, so I thought I should do the same. Do you know a band called “The American Dollar”? It´s totally instrumental, not electronic, but it reminds me a lot of the vibe of some Tycho tracks, it´s very deep and for me, it´s perfect for ambience during my work, and I´m here listening to them, cutting tons of paper for mock ups and I feel like cutting the air with a smile on my face. Coincidence or no i was listening the album “odyssey” yesterday and give the mp3 for my pc in my work. FS is a great band…

I’ve been a huge fan of Fischerspooner for several years now, however i never heard that track from them. it doesn’t seem to be in any of their albums i don’t think. Where can i find this one Scott?.
Also, i probably would never have guessed it was a cover/tribute song even if i heard it. thanks for the heads up

Porteno: You can find the song(The 15th) on FS’s album, #1. It’s the second track on the album. This is also one of those cases when the remake becomes the remaker’s song, as is the case with The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Landslide”.
