The Mary Onettes US Tour
I know I know i’m on a Swedish post rock / dream pop kick recently thanks to 800Beloved and some recent suggestions from the very informative ISO50 blog commenting community. The Mary Onettes recently released their Islands LP, below our a few of my favorite tracks by them, a really odd creepy Swedish video and some US dates. Also, if anyone at Labrador or from The Mary Onettes reads this then you should consider 800Beloved as an opening act for your NY or OH shows, just sayin’ since they let me know about you.

February 24, 2010 at 6:17 pmInteresting. The guy’s voice kind of sounds like The Cure to me. Or The Arcade Fire possibly.
I’m guessing you already know these guys, but I figured I’d throw them your way as long as you’re talking about Swedish post-rock bands…
Check out Immanu El. It’s really beautiful. More modern sounding (Explosions in the Sky-esque) than The Mary Onettes. Not as dream-poppy. More epic in my opinion.

February 26, 2010 at 12:42 amHi there, I found your site through another design blog–you do a great job here! I wanted to share my link re: Labrador Records and The Mary Onettes as well since you seem to really dig them. I had the opportunity to meet them the last time they played live in Philadelphia, and interview them. I’ll probably add the interview up soon as well, but I hope you enjoy the link:
