July 8, 2009 at 6:22 pmActually, that’s not an hotel room.
That’s Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo and it was mainly residential, having also office space.

July 8, 2009 at 11:07 pmI wonder what the bathroom looks like – I suppose it’s behind the door.
Love the phone, and the built in stereo next to the bed.

July 9, 2009 at 1:38 amI love this building. I actually attempted my first ever 3D modelling project based on it: http://kodama.angrypixel.org/2009/06/3d-modelling-animation-week-11/
First – and last – ever 3D modelling project. I’ve realised that it’s really not my calling. It’s a world that’s way too intense for me. It was amazing to look at the floor plans for that building though.
And there was talk of it being demolished in favour of glass skyrises! Makes me want to cry.

July 9, 2009 at 2:09 pmAs a college student, I can definitely say I would live there. If only American dorms were designed like that.
It kind of reminds me of Bruce Willis’ apartment in The 5th Element.
Just slightly cleaner.
