Trus’meSince the CMJ festival has taken over most of the venues here in New York, it’s a bit overwhelming to plan out your day since your favorite musician could be playing right at this moment since most shows start at noon and end at 4 am. Last night I went to see Trus’me who was in that Tom Croose mix from yesterday and couldn’t even stay because i was so beat from the last 2 shows before. Today i’m off to see Hatchback, School of Seven Bells, Tobacco, Praveen and i think Madlib, i hope to have a full report to you all of new findings and free mp3 downloads.

Trus’Me – Working Nights

Maelstrom – Petrichor

Deadbeat – Organ In The Attic Sings The Blues

Jim O’Rourke – Fuzzy Sun

Maelstrom kinda sounded like Sea& Cake for a but man still can’t get by the poppy Jim O’rourke era stuff. I’ll take gastr del sol every time.

I bought that Trus’me album after hearing it here…love it. Still not quite sure what to make of it, but the irresistable urge to dance wildly with tracks like “At the Disco” is undeniable. Thx for posting.

A while back I stumbled across a posting of Tobacco and Hatchback in your blog. I was generally unfamiliar with them. Last night’s show made me a fan. Thanks for the post!
