Cover by S.Hansen

I know it’s been a long wait but the sixth installment of the ISO50 Playlist is finally up. Sam Valenti IV — the man behind Ghostly International — was kind enough to put together this latest edition of the playlist. Here’s a few words on the selections from Sam:

“This playlist is beats-heavy, they feel right for uncertain times.
There’s also a tip of the hat to some 90’s nostalgia: a hint of Drum &
Bass and filtered House thrown in for good measure. All in all, it’s
a set of listenable wares, without a lot of tire spikes to get caught
on.”

So sit back and enjoy… And if you like what you hear, let us know in the comments.

Omni Trio is nostalgic for shure. Drum n Bass like this is in desperate need of a comeback. Thanks for the reminder. That track is incredible.

Great playlist, best one in a while. Only issue is that the “The Go Find” track is labeled incorrectly. It has a different name on the track list than it does on the actual playlist.

There are a lot of great pieces on this blog right now (this cover being one of them). I love how you’ve transformed this site into a plethora of great design and found inspiration. That’s why this is my number one place for all things graphic design. Keep up the good work.

Another great playlist!…And the artwork…Wow! Scott you really need to settle down right now. You are just creating like a conveyer belt. You should really think about creating a book of all of your work someday.

@Rent: I’ve never really liked that remix, because I liked the original so much. But I now think it’s actually really good.

Thanks for the very nice list!

Bear in Heaven – Ultimate Satisfaction is ridiculous. I know everyone has different tastes in music but this track is just insane for me.

Just to reflect what others have said, ultimate gratitude for putting together this compilation, my creative juices are flowing.

scott, i have noticed as of late that alot of your design work seems to be based off of amazing photo’s by, i’m assuming, other unnamed artists. i love image mining, and it gets me psyched when i do find an amazing image to use, but i’m wondering if you feel a little bit of guilt using another person’s split second vision? i’m not asking in a critical way, more to be curious about your process and that of others. i know i always have this guilt in the back of my mind and for me, depending on the source of course, it can be a little hard to overcome and actually let it go and be seen.

the only thing about the cover is the middle shape not having right alignment with the other two…is this accidental or on purpose? i keep looking at it…

Have been too busy to check the site regularly but I’m glad I did! Again (!) some wonderfull new discoveries of music and reminiscences of old ones. For the people liking this stuff (esp phantogram and memory tapes) I would recommend listening to The Temper Trap as well… great stuff!

Hi Scott, could you please please please create a desktop wallpaper in 1920x1200px of this cover?

I like it so much!

Thanks for sharing this music playlist. Is there any way you could republish your music player swf to not include traces? I am listening to your playlist through your player while I’m working on flash development stuff and it’s flooding my Flash Tracer plugin with traces from your music player (about 100 a minute)

I know that’s sort of a specific request, but if you have the fla you can “Omit Trace Actions” in the movie settings.

Thanks again for the playlist. Take care,
Burton
