Shaun Kardinal Embroidery
Posted by Jakub
Shaun Kardinal embroiders everything from vintage postcards to books. I alway love looking through vintage postcards but i’ve never really done anything with them besides put them away in a box, glad someone is getting a little creative and reworking them into something that isn’t a cut up collage for the first time in the 21st century.

These are awesome. Great idea and execution. I love the EP cover on the site.

Love the nostalgic feeling that these pieces convey. Very BOC’ish IMO, and that’s just awesome.

i just found a book on how-to-string-art while cleaning up the old house, and this just adds some more inspiration to the whole thing. oh the limits have been furthered.
thanks for sharing, they are way too simple and pretty. i love how many of the shapes are like the pictures they cover, especially the tree one at the top and then the two rocks one that looks like a set of lungs. very nice

Have you seen Mr Bingo’s ‘Hate Mail’ project? Another brilliant use of vintage postcards
