Piano Magic+Dirty Three+Christ+Four Tet

This is pretty rewarding 19 minute piece by Piano Magic if you have the time to slow down and enjoy the ocean wave sounds and a bell, I promise its well worth it especially right around the 7 minute mark and on.
I don’t listen to Cat Power, just never felt like she was worth looking into since I felt like the whole indie world had it covered but my best friend The Tower Of Light definitely proved me wrong by playing me this gorgeous and passion filled track that she did with Dirty Three.
Ex Boards of Canada member Christ is always releasing it feels like, this seems like a pretty raw LP, not as dreamy but heavy on highs in the Mono/Poly(?) and 90’s style breaks, I like how that he is holding down this sound and doesn’t evolve into what’s popular just for the sake of doing it.
Everyone has been leaking this new Four Tet song everywhere in the blog world, let me know if you like it, it has really grown on me, but i’m still not into the vocal samples though.

i guess theres a period at the end of his name which helps. i never knew there was a third member of BoC? i always thought it was just the two brothers. although after listening to his stuff i can def tell. thanks!

There are some ‘hiccups’ starting with the 2nd minute on the FourTet track, am I right? …Or is it a FourTet signature
Apart from that, I find it addictive. Thanks!

The hiccups in the Four Tet track are sadly in most of the blog rips of the song.
That being said, I subscribed like a week back and if your design didn’t earn my trust, your taste in music just did.

I think the vocal sample is what makes the fout-tet track, personally, it’s only when that part comes in that I feel the song hits its stride.

I feel similarly about Cat Power and a host of other indie bands…but listen to this song by her: http://popup....834910746746

Halloween Boat floats over you like a warm river…..

Yeah those vocals in the FourTet song kinda killed it for me. They just go on tooooooo long. 30 seconds and it would be fine or if they’d change it up after 14 minutes.

Joy Orbison did an amazing dubstep-ish remix of Love Cry. Definitely worth checking out.

Agree with Pandaworth … the Joy Orbison remix is great. Does anyone know if you can find this remix for purchase anywhere or is it just some rare you tube oddity?

Say Jakub, where did you get that photo? It invokes alot of memories of my childhood as I spent quite a bit of it on oil tankers with my father who was a captain. That looks like a pilot’s ladder going up the side of a tanker I think.

While I have your attention Jakub, check out this free mix….
The label is owned by Huw Roberts and Otto Totland (one half of Deaf Center from Norway, btw this has nothing to do with me, I just found it and adored it). It is quite beautiful….
