More great packaging, this time via Everydaylifemodern’s Flickr page. Would be great to have a laser cutter just so you could make concept packaging like this and put it on your shelf.

"Eley, Imperial Metal Industries (1966)
Range of packs for cartridges made by Imperial Metal Industries (Kynoch)

Artist: David Mawford / John Harrison
Agent | Studio: Service Advertising Co. Ltd., London.
Art Director: John Harrison

With a large piece of the right kind of paper and a pair of scissors (and/or knife) it isn’t that hard to get boxes like that.
That can’t be an excuse not to do it :-)

jazz-

Funny you should say that. I recently finished a project for a class, where I created a large scale poster, titled the periodic table of design elements; basically I broke down the chemical periodic table to its graphic equivalent and created 118 boxes, all cut by hand, to represent each element. The boxes are meant to be stacked vertically on their corresponding place on the poster which is meant to be laid flat on a table.

I dont have any pics as of yet. But I will be updating my website in the coming weeks to add some more recent work.
