I’ll be playing a live set as Tycho and doing a workshop as ISO50 next week in Tromsø, Norway as part of Insomnia Festival 2009. I’ve never been to Norway so I’m really excited to check it out. I’m assuming I’ll be needing to dress warm? Norwegians: What should I bring? What should I see while I’m there? Any tips would be appreciated in the comments. Röyksopp and Lindstrøm will also be playing at Insomnia so really looking forward to seeing them live.

Just a quick update on tomorrow night’s ticket situation from the organizers:
Decibel: Ghostly 10 yr showcase tomorrow at the Seattle Art Museum
REGARDING TICKETS
There is a VERY good chance that you’ll be able to get into the Ghostly event in the auditorium. Pre-sale have ended, but I doubt all pass holders are going to show up, which means we’ll have extra seats available for walk up sales. I’d recommend getting there by 6pm. Tycho goes on at 7pm.
Tycho + Dusty Brown Live - Photo By Lead Into Gold
I’m happy to announce that 2/3rds of Dusty Brown will be joining me on stage for the Seattle show on Thursday. We’ve been rehearsing some new versions of different songs and we’ll also be playing the Dusty Brown remix from Past is Prologue. Flying out tomorrow, gotta start packing, see you out there.
As some astute readers pointed out in the Tycho Live in Seattle post, the event is not quite as “free” as originally stated. I checked in with the organizers and apparently only the lobby area — where Michna and Lusine will be playing — is free. The auditorium show — where The Sight Below and myself will be playing — is actually $10 (unless you have a Decibel Fest pass in which case it’s included).
The event is the opening gala for this year’s Decibel Fest, you can get tickets here. I’ve heard they’re almost out so get on it if you haven’t already.
I’ll be heading up to Seattle later this month to Play the Ghostly 10 year show at Decibel Fest. Last year was great so really looking forward to this one.
You can see the flyer for the show above. I went with a slightly modified version of the Chicago poster / Ten Year Print to change it up a little. With this one I was going for more of a flyer/handbill feel as opposed to a poster.
Here are all the details, hope to see you out there…
