Just came across this great Flickr set of The Canadian Architect covers from 1964-67, designed by Laszlo Buday.
Also, sorry for the abscence of this weeks’s Weekend Inspiration post. I’ve been helping out Tycho with the first leg of this summer tour dates, so haven’t had much time to post, but next Friday it’s back to business as usual.

I just recently found out that Reuben Wu, aside from being a British DJ, producer and keyboardist for Ladytron, was also an avid photographer. Apparently the story goes that he started getting a bit more serious about photography when he decided to document his personal tour experiences and making the most out of being a musician on the road, while visiting some remarkable locations. Since then, he’s has amassed an impressive collection of cameras, which he has modified, spliced and pushed to their limits, all in the name of experimentation and discovery. This has resulted in a diverse and unusual and almost other-worldy like body of work, from urban architecture, to desert and remote landscapes.
Be sure to check out more of Reuben’s amazing on his Flickr.
Big thanks to Wendy Stenzel at NEST Artists for supplying the photos and info regarding Reueben Wu.

Falling in love with this site called The Noun Project which “collects, organizes and adds to the highly recognizable symbols that form the world’s visual language, so we may share them in a fun way.” I personally love the Tornado, I just keep downloading and downloading some of the great ones not even to use but just to have like some graphic design hoarder.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Onuinu new single “Happy Home” had me looking for his album just one minute into it. Too bad the LP doesn’t drop until August, he’s on tour with Yacht on these dates. Its like a upbeat Black Moth Super Rainbow is backing Toro Y Moi for an encore at a outdoor roller disco, everyone is dancing.
New Gold Panda dropped today out of nowhere, Derwin comes with a full sound that ramps up and builds like a classic Telefon Tel Aviv track but has hints of Caribou but pitched down an octave, an amazing follow up for recent releases that will be hard to beat. One thing I have to say is something that I learned from Mux Mool is that Derwin puts a lot of punch into his rhythm section thats what separates him from most of his following producers plus there’s a perfect level of brightness added during mastering.
If there’s any label to be excited about it should be Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space, they’re already on release #3, sounds like original indie-disco(I don’t know if thats even a thing) Erlend Oye material, 12″ ships May 22nd I recommended picking this one up.
Time to drop it out and go a little deep, heavy beauties from Conforce, if you missed their latest album later year then I guess I just feel bad for you.

The Instagram Socialmatic camera. It’s only a concept, but it’s still pretty cool. Antonio De Rosa created this concept out of curiosity over Facebook’s massive purchase of Instagram. Check out some of the desired features below, but first let’s connect.
Socialmatic is the first Instagram photo camera and it would even have its own OS called InstaOS. Here are some of the hoped for features:
– 16 GB mass storage
– Wifi and Bluetooth
– 4:3 touchscreen
– 2 main lenses: first for capture, second for 3D filters, webcam applications and QR Code capturing
– Optical zoom
– LED Flash
– Internal printer to make your Instagram photos real
– Paper cartridge with Instagram Paper Sheets
– Dedicated 4 colors ink tanks
– InstaOS 1.0, the operating system built by Facebook and Instagram
If you want you can print it directly on Instagram Paper Sheets, thanks to the internal printer. Also every Instagram photo printed from the camera has the persons Instagram username and a QR code pointing to their Instagram account.
