Its always perfect to have a musician share his or her ideas while albums come out or they’ve been MIA, there’s this honesty that lingers in the detail and melodies that makes you wonder if the LPs are a bit too built up or too much to express a clear idea compared to a song that isn’t tied to anything.

An instant classic for Bibio’s growing discography, it reminds me of what he started off making but no more lo-fi, same feeling but dug up from the dry soil.
Bibio has always been skilled in crafting electronica that has the warmth of folk music, and he has now brought that to Tycho’s “Spectre.” The original track was one of the lushest downtempo numbers to appear on his album, Awake, and this version gives it a dreamy, sunny charm that makes me hope we’ll be hearing these two link up again soon.
