Clark x The Holy Mountain

Posted by Scott

I don’t often come across perfect things, but here’s one. Nice to hear new work from Clark, was always a big influence.

Apparently this is set to a scene from The Holy Mountain, thanks for the tips in the comments, will check it out.

Yeah, I came here to say the same thing… I thought you might be doing a profile on Jodorowski, but this isn’t anything original.

Hm, I love Clark, and I love The Holy Mountain, but I feel like they could’ve chosen a better scene. Still, love that song!

Scott, If you haven’t seen Holy Mountain, you can purchase the Alejandro Jodorowsky tirolgy boxset. It includes, El Topo (The Mole), Holy Mountain and one other movie whose name I cannot remember. They are REALLY unique movies.

Amazing how modern it looks for something made in 1973. A definite add to the NetFlix cue. Thanks for sharing.

great video, visually. but do we really need a new analogy of a black woman with an animal in 2012? she is stripped of her individuality/humanity and is being used as a decorative object/animal for a white male. maybe it was unintentional… but unfortunately such a blatant error turned me, and probably many others, off from even appreciating this work of art. there’s plenty of amazing art out there that doesn’t continue to incorporate such sexist/racist elements.
