Thanks Jakub sir!

December 15, 2011 at 6:40 pmGotye at #2? Nice choice. Even with the ridiculous amount of airplay it’s getting in Australia, it’s still a damn fine song…

December 15, 2011 at 9:21 pmis #1 a joke? the vocals sound absolutely terrible. and not in a subjective sense.
Jakub says:
December 15, 2011 at 10:11 pmDear Marcus,
I dunno how we’d do that
Dear DIGDOG,
#1 isn’t a joke, John has talent
Zenpop says:
December 15, 2011 at 10:41 pmGosh, can’t take this seriously with Frank Ocean’s Novacane nowhere to be found. Bummer. That’s the best song of the year as far as I’m concerned.

December 16, 2011 at 3:04 amGreat list, you’re missing my favorite song: Dumbo Gets Mad – Marmelade Kids
BROOKLYN BRIAN says:
December 16, 2011 at 5:40 amI agree. #1 is actually terrible. The vocals make that song unlistenable.
otherwise, Tycho not in the top 25? that album was actually awesome. otherwise, thanks for the list! 2011 was a pretty good year.

December 16, 2011 at 10:00 amI love the honesty here. It’s very easy to get lost in what other people/websites say. These are all great songs. Thanks for sharing and ranking these tracks. Your top lists always give me a fresh perspective of what’s out there. I tend to get overwhelmed by the sameness of top lists amongst the indie music community.
Swade says:
December 16, 2011 at 10:16 amI have noticed that you really like songs with those vocal recordings where it sounds like they are down a hall, revered, and underwater. It just seems like they record vocals like this because the vocals are naturally just not good. Maybe musically talented, but when songs have vocal tracks like this, the song is just ruined, in my opinion.

December 16, 2011 at 11:31 amLoved nearly every song you post throughout the year, but I’m completely bewildered by your choice for #1. Otherwise, awesome list!

December 16, 2011 at 8:58 pmI’m not totally conveinced about the remix of blink and you’ll miss a revolution. It’s really good but still I think the original version is better. But thanks a lot for this wonderful playlist Jakub. :)

Sepalcure, HOley Other, Keep Shelly, Austria.
Piece by piece artists and songs that came to me by Iso50, and rocking my top playlists each and every single day for the past year. Making my evenings, traveling with in earbuds and chilly afternoons totally complete.

December 17, 2011 at 11:16 amListening to this while painting Cambrian critters. A very objective and consistent playlist. Do you still listen to Trapdoor everyday?
Shea says:
December 17, 2011 at 4:33 pmOne of my favorite albums of the year was Belong-Common Era. Even though perfect life was the “single”, i’ve gravitated towards “a walk”, as well as the latter half of the album. great stuff. anyone dismissing it as more post chillwave shoegaze-esq is really missing out.
John Maus says:
December 17, 2011 at 7:44 pmI’m awesome. No arguing, you hear?

December 18, 2011 at 7:02 pmok, i like this second half better than the first. except of course for active child; i’m of the opinion that ‘hanging on’ should be number one.

December 18, 2011 at 10:25 pmThe list needed more Tom Croose, but good picks otherwise
Joel Nealy says:
December 19, 2011 at 6:02 amYou forgot Ben Famous – Dreaming of a Million.
The artist uses Washed Outs composition “Feel it all around” and rhymes quite effortlessly on it. Good lyrics and a message in the words.
He has some other good songs from “Megatron Bombs” which is his album out now.
I noticed you had Asap Rocky, which means you have an ear for hip hop that has an etheral vibe. You should really check his music.
