i recently caught the Yosemite documentary on NETFLIX and that kickstarted my urge to visit (east coaster). It looks splendid, as well as your images. The night camper one is perfection.
Get out here, Frank. It’s really great. We didn’t spend the whole time in Yosemite, went up to Mono Lake and Bodie. Amazing stuff. And don’t forget all the Redwood forests!
Timothy, after Mono Lake we came back down through Tuolumne Meadows through Tioga Pass. Amazing. Yosemite was a little crowded, which is why we spent most of the time exploring the surrounding area
Hell yeah! I just actually finished working the summer up there for the private company. Everyone should go, but not on summer weekends cause it gets more crowded than Hong Kong.
I worked for the private company in the valley basically at an information booth telling people where to go and answering every dumb question you can imagine. It’s an awesome place to work for the summer – weekends off in the high country is awesome. They’re always hiring too.
Dude. Yosemite is ubersweet. Driving up there is just as fun as being there. I stopped at a wicked basque restaurant in the middle of nowhere on some small hwy. Righteous.
I was just in Yosemite, and I think I actually saw your camper (although most of VW’s do look the same). I just uploaded some pics myself; my friends and I skated the granite in the mountains.
If that’s an 86 camper van, I literally have the same exact model, right down to the color scheme. I’ve been wanting take mine out to the west coast and explore all of the amazing national parks out there… unfortunately that’s a long way off from where I live in Kentucky. Definitely post more of your adventures with your van so I can live vicariously through you and your photos.
