Is this genius? I think yes. Maybe even on a Tim and Eric tip?

March 18, 2010 at 1:02 pmI really hope my Vegas trip this weekend is going to be that weird. I’d probably go to more shows if things like that happened. I think Scott should wear a glowing white robe for his shows and hover around.

March 18, 2010 at 3:10 pmLove the looks on the crowd’s faces as the out-of-this-world humanoid (aka strange, bald and glowing skinny white guy) floats in from the background. The head at the end reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5ALIL7T764&feature=related

March 18, 2010 at 5:56 pmIs that Moby (without glasses)?
John says:
March 18, 2010 at 7:29 pmwow, their videos have a history of being damn good. Not a fan of the song at all, and it’s almost difficult to watch that skinny white guy haha videos like these make me think about how the hell the writers explain their ideas in words rather than sketches, if thats even possible.

March 18, 2010 at 8:46 pmHot Chip’s music has got progressively weaker, while they’re video concepts have gotten progressively stronger. I guess that makes them Meh-tastic.

March 19, 2010 at 4:57 amAmazing video! It was directed by Peter Serafinowicz, he has a show on the BBC which is brilliant – definitely check it out if you get the chance. This is my personal favourite!

March 19, 2010 at 5:52 amI agree that it’s really not Tim and Eric, but I’d like to see a feature film for sure. Apparently red lazers are better than blue.

You need to spend more time making the music sound listenable. Who are you, OKGO?
Thanks.

March 21, 2010 at 2:41 pmDoesn’t the first lines tell the tale…
“How did we get ourselves so lost”
This is because of all the crap the record executive’s have pushed and shoved down our throats, barking out sellout mainstream radio.
We’re now lucky we’re in a period of backlash by the democratizing of the production (final cut pro) promotion (myspace) and distribution (itunes)
That lets bands experiment and have greater control over the whole process, they don’t have to sell their soul, just being honest to their art and speaking from their hearts, the audience will recognize the authenticity!
“The emperior has no clothes”
Which begs the question…
“How did we get ourselves so lost?”

March 22, 2010 at 1:06 amFirst of all, I thought the song was actually pretty good. Second, what on earth is Nedbinder on about?

March 23, 2010 at 11:04 amI am with Brian Park, I think the music is pretty good their sound has gone from normal indie act to more risky thats always good imo… for me the video is great up til the fire breath stuff. I thought the concept of a boy band preforming the track was pretty interesting as is, especially when you introduce the non-pretty dude.
Fire breath and lazer eyes is too overt for me.
“Let’s get subtle”
