Moby – Shot In The Back Of The Head
Posted by Scott
Moby’s got a new album coming and this is the first single. Whether or not you think Moby’s still relevant, he’s probably the only electronic musician who can get David Lynch to direct his video. At any rate, much better than what I heard from him last year and the video is great.
The official music video for Moby’s “Shot in the Back of the Head” directed by David Lynch. From Moby’s forthcoming album “Wait for Me” (out June 30 on Mute).

April 21, 2009 at 12:55 amDavid Lynch is brilliant and all, but this video seems like it was kinda phoned-in. I feel like if the same imagery and actions were done with real actors and scenery it would have had more impact visually – or worth-noting, besides the name that’s attached to it.
I’m just saying I’ve seen joke flash animations with better production values than that video…

Oh, and Inland Empire was awesome. If you think he’s “lost it”, you’re clearly insane.

April 21, 2009 at 11:03 amI disagree with the notion that Lynch has lost it. if you look deeper, the imagery is perfect for the musical score and I love the build up as the man gets shot. it’s got tons of emotion.
