Tycho Boulder

Posted by Scott

I’ve been waiting for a long time for this show and it’s finally here. Wedsnesday will be the first Tycho show in Boulder, CO and we’re all really excited. So excited that I created a poster specifically for the show. This also marks the first time I’ve designed a print from start to finish on the road (been out here for a few weeks now). The show will be with The Album Leaf at The Fox Theater this Wednesday, September 26th, 2012. Details and tickets here, hope to see you out!

We’re in the home stretch of our Fall Tour with only a handful of dates left. This will likely be the last full Tycho tour for a while as I plan to head back to the studio to work on new material. Thanks to everyone who’s made this past year so special, we’ve had an incredible time travelling around seeing so many wonderful people and places. Hope to see you all again soon!

Great, I work on Wednesday… I’ll just have to buy the poster anyway and go the next time you roll through Colorado.

Scott! I’m working in SF now and I can’t believe I’m gonna miss my hometown show. Now you gotta rub it in with this amazing piece? I’m sending all my friends there, just like Denver. Would love to come by the studio sometime and get one of these posters.

I’m so close to buying a ticket home just for this show, haha. Boulder is gonna absolutely love you.

Scott, I know this has already been covered, but PLEASE do a poster of this! This has got to be one of the most beautiful Tycho posters ever. Great job man.
Sincerely, Will

Wow man I’ve been a fan of your work for some time and have numerous of your posters around my house but this is the first time I’ve been moved to comment… that is one stunning poster! Awesome.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the kind words. This was a very enjoyable project for me. I feel like after the pressure of creating the Tycho album was lifted I was finally able to clearly see the path I wanted my visual work to take. This and the Webster Hall print are some good examples of that.

@Marco- We’ve played in Colorado many times, but never Boulder. Every time we play in Colorado people always say “you should play Boulder”. I’ve heard great things about that place my whole life and I guess I just think playing a show and spending some time there would be great. I also secretly want to move to Colorado so I want to check out all the different areas there (Aspen and Ft. Collins are muy current favorites)

@Devan definitely going to be putting together some iphone Bg / walpapers (finally), should have them up in the next month.

Thanks again to everyone, your continued support means a lot.

I love this!! I live in Boulder, and it is definitely a great place to be. Colorado is wonderful ~ I’m a Bay Area transplant and I love it here. ;)

I’ll be coming to see this show for sure ~ a great way to celebrate my 30th b-day. :)

you were in Columbia? jealous, I am from a small town an hour away from there and am really homesick seeing the name(and the Blue Note). Now I am in New Mexico, if you ever find yourself wanting to do a show between Colorado and California, hit us up Albuquerque!

Love the experience of going to your shows. Such a great energy in the audience. Didn’t stick around afterwards but I’m glad we had the chance to meet twice back in Aspen. Your new poster is bewitching, btw.

Album Leaf put on a beautiful show as well. The lighting & visuals were poetry on stage. Thanks again for a great time. Happy music making this winter.

Adding my name to the pool of people who think this poster is frickin fabulous and I want it on my wall posthaste. I was bummed I couldn’t buy it as merch the night of your gig, but I will gladly wait and order it whenever you get it online.

Just when I thought that your lo fi poster technique had lost all its shock value and appeal to me…this poster changes my life.

Back to the studio.

Yeah, count me in for a poster print as well. I’ll hang this bad boy up in my studio. Better yet, ad the option for custom print on canvas!

Love the poster Scott. If you ever have the time, a post on the making of this poster would be unbelievable. Your work is always a huge inspiration. Thank you!
