Finnish Meteorological Weather App

Probably one of the most visually appealing mobile app icons you can buy(it’s actually free) is the Finnish Meteorological Weather Institute’s App. It’s nothing fancy it just gets the job done of telling you the forecast but in a nicely designed way.

While the design is becoming dated, the animated maps are absolutely fantastic.

June 25, 2012 at 2:43 pmI installed it. It’s alright, doesn’t give a quick view/layout of the upcoming week. I doubt I’ll spend much time with it.

June 25, 2012 at 4:12 pmThat is a pretty slick interface! I came across WTHR just before I saw this one. It’s 99 cents, but it’s extremely minimalistic…and I’m digging it so far. Here’s a link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wthr-simpler-more-beautiful/id536445532?ls=1&mt=8

June 25, 2012 at 10:41 pmI tried the app and it is very good. Very good layout and the app is very smooth (almost fluid). A big plus is that since there are no ads, it does not compromise on design. I wish they include cities around the world, but I am happy that this app exists.
