Com Truise – Brokendate – Music VIdeo

Posted by Jakub

Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space…actually we’re debuting this amazing Com Truise video, its kind of a mystery/love story meets gaming thing that actually has some feeling to it, amazing work by the 10 lb Pictures crew.

What an interesting video. I really enjoyed it a lot. I could see reference to a lot of great things from the 80’s and 90’s :)

2 favourites were:
The gun scene at the beginning is from Batman 1989.
The opening credits is from The Terminator

Great debut for Com Truise, I can’t wait to see more!

Holy…

Absolutely floored, one of the best music videos I’ve ever seen, no joke. Musicians with exponentially higher budgets can’t even scratch the surface of the quality this production exudes…just think of all the millions that have been wasted.

Just saw the man live. Absolutely love his overt badassery on screen juxtaposed with his almost shy introversion on stage.

Love the video. Com’s musical style has always reminded me of dramatic synth-laden scores from 80s techno-thrillers such as Tron, War Games, Terminator, Cloak & Dagger, Runnaway and even Risky Business. I definitely saw an ode to such films in this video. It felt a little like Tron meets Terminator, but with a flair all his own. Also loved the use of the classic keyboards and vintage Laser Tag guns. Good stuff, Seth…this is killer work.

Everything Com Truise touches is instant gold! Love his music. The video was pretty cool, I especially love the original Laser Tag guns…we used to have those as kids. Awesome.

This video is clutch. The somber keys and running bass set the mood, dark…heroic, longing. A sense of sad reflection…I envision this song as the soundtrack to a motorcycle drag race in the middle of the night.

They captured the 80’s retro future aesthetic perfectly. Hence, this video is oh so clutch.
