Need to get out of this meeting to hear this tune! I’m really curious which one it was that I heard at the Chicago DJ set Scott did recently.

This album is so good on so many levels that I kind of hate my life because my life is no where near the level of awesome this album is. Nor will it ever be.

wow… this is hauntingly beautiful. I picture a slow motion story under an old, content sun. Thanks so much for your music, Scott. I’ve listened to it almost daily for more than a year and it never ceases to deeply move me.

@Navis What r u talking about man! Your work is amazing and it’s at a level I strive to achieve the same as Scott. It may take me a minute but I will get there and it’s thanks to people like you.

Thanks everyone. The album is out Nov. 15th it looks like.

Navis and I did a photoshoot at El Mirage last week, the shot on Pitchfork is from that session. That man is a pro.

This song will be on repeat for the rest of the day, if not the next few! So excited to hear the new record.

This was so worth the wait! I used to do a lot of my photography work while listening to previous Tycho releases but it’s been a while since I tackled any serious photo projects… this new track brings back the euphoria of creating.

Yes – finally got to listen. I think this is the first song Scott played at the DJ set in Chicago, which I was super excited to hear.

MG33, I think you’re right…I was at Millennium Park in Chicago too for that set and I think he played it there. Can Jakub or Scott confirm that? Also, Scott mentioned he was going to post the set list from Chicago…is that up somewhere I can get to? There were a bunch of tracks I didn’t recognized that I’d like to buy.

Scott says:

Gabe-
Uncompressed formats will be available when the album comes out. This is just sort of a promotional teaser for now.

chris & MG33-
Yeah, I played this, not sure if it was first, I’ll check. Any tracks you didn’t recognize were either from the upcoming album or by someone else. I’ll post a tracklisting soon.

Love it, refreshing but still Tycho. Definitely stepped it up a notch production wise.

On a side note, when will we get a Shigeto remix up in here? =]

This is fantastic.

Question – if i pre-order one of the new lithographs right now, will i be able to ”add” to that order the album when it will become available for pre-order (i believe there will be physical copies yes?), so that we can keep it as one order instead of two separate ones?

absolutely breathtaking…haven’t listened to anything else in the last 24 hours, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon…have to admit, it’s been a long couple of years since your last album…but it’s worth the wait…this is one of the most lush, beautiful tracks I have ever heard…I am absolutely thrilled about the new album…can’t wait for November…you’re my favorite all around artist…your music/artwork have had a profound influence on my life, and I am grateful…keep up the good work…and come to DC…I’ll bring a crowd…

Hey Scott, really awesome track. Although curious about the choice of album artwork…

Honestly I feel like all of the other prints you have created throughout the year are much stronger candidates for an album cover than this.

What was your idea behind this specific design?

Great stuff!

LOVE the track… great job with the mix, the bass sounds so good even on my regular headphones.

Obviously there is a strong theme of the ocean on all the new tracks, I love it because all the descending synth lines wash over like waves…really amazing atmosphere. I remember listening to Past is Prologue in a blizzard in Chicago…that album’s always represented snow to me. I’m excited for the evident warmth of this release. :)

That song is straight up baller. Your soundss, much like your visual work, has that je ne sais quoi. Thank you for sharing it.

YeY! I’ve Been waiting for this. It’s kinda pity that the album contains 3 tracks which I’m already familiar with, but this won’t stop me from buying it the moment its released!

Kudos, Scott!

Awesome work, Scott. Definite progression in the music since the last release but at the same time it’s still Tycho. Stoked for the new release! Keep making art, both audio and visual!

It’s buttery and all, but i cant help but think this sounds like tycho from 5 years ago. Wheres the evolution? What makes this this any different? I like it but it feels too safe.

Ahh! top notch as always, loving your work man! This has brightened up my day – which is not as easy thing to do when your from Glasgow Scotland.

blueisola says:

why must there always be the push to evolve and change? why change what is inherently perfect for what it is? i honestly cannot say that there is any other music that has been released in the past decade that moves and motivates me as much as Scott’s work with Tycho. don’t change a thing, Scott, it sounds just as you intended it and that is what we want to hear. really can’t wait to hear the entirety of the whole album.

I think there is another version of “Hours” in video “Tycho live visuals test footage”, more “hard”, can we hear it?
