Juvet Hotel
Posted by Scott
This is about as good as it gets for me. This incredible structure is located in Gudbrandsjuvet, Norway and was designed by Jensen & Skodvin Architects. Luckily for us it’s a hotel and not a private residence, so there’s actually some outside chance you might be able to bask in it’s modern interior glory.

March 14, 2011 at 7:51 amI would love to see photos of the construction process. The trees around it look as if not even moss was disturbed. Really well fitted to the landscape.
The last picture makes the forest look like a large diorama on display.
Thanks for sharing

March 17, 2011 at 8:39 amStunning! I am concerned though when I see such large windows on structures in forest settings. Beautiful for us but deadly for birds. I have a place on Canim Lake in BC Canada and often find birds that have hit our windows. Not sure what the solution would be for this building without affecting the over all aesthetic. Knowing the Norwegians (have extended family there) they will have figured something out.

Sorry ’bout that.
