I just checked my iTunes and ‘Stevey Wonder’ is far and away my most played song :) I would love a pair of TMA-1 headphones so I could enjoy Dusty Brown at work as well as at home (and look awesome at the same time!)

Got to be Salem – King Night. Can’t believe how heavy rotation this track has received over the last month. Truly inspirational.

I never listened to the type of music posted on here until i started following the blog. To be completely honest my fav has been Tycho! i cant get enough of it! It was never the style I was into but something about it just sounds perfect. I have this website open most of the day (wile i am working anyway) playing though all the songs. Thank you for introducing me to a world I never knew!

It has to be Lusine and Gravity.

I love how unique this song is and the vocal! and the album is to die for ‘A Certain Distance’ :)

I do enjoy the dreamy and airy music I can find in most of the playlists, but when I need something more energetic then it has to be the Ikons – Honey (Coyote Remix). It has the right amount of dance+electronic+a bit of mystery that makes it hard not to press the repeat button.

For me it’s Computer Magic – Electronic Fences. I left the indie scene years ago, but I always get so happy when some of that stuff still moves me :)

I have to go for Lindstorm & Christabelle – Lovesick (four tet remix) absolutely loving this joint, then again, there is so much dope music in this place that I can’t honestly say that this is the best. I just hit play and keep going through your collection over and over. Now imagine listening to these tracks in a TMA-1. NOW THAT’S, JUST ILL SON.

keep doing what y’all do. Loving the variety of tunes up in this place. Need a bit more of your high quality cheery pickin’ good funky Dub Step though, somethin’ to make my brain and feet bleed with da bass line.

My favorite most surely has to be Oneohtrix Point Never – Zones Without People. It conjures up hazy memories of playing with Polaroid cameras and looking at old science books from the 60s and 70s.

Those headphones look incredible. It would be great not only to listen to their audio quality but also to wear such well-designed equipment. It makes them even more desireable that they were tweaked to the specifications of Ghostly artists!

I’ll go for Ratatat : LP4,
’cause that record is a blast but I can’t help mentioning Four-Tet : There is Love in You (and all the remixes that the songs featured in the record have been able to spawn two for all angel echoes – Caribou rmx and same track Jon Hopkins rmx)

Definitely Memoryhouse’s ‘Lately’, beautiful track and great video too. Lush spacey vocals and rugged lo-fi production: delcicious.

Though not in the Ghostly family (you guys post too many good tracks to remember all of them) , I would say the one track I listened to that introduced me to one of my favorite albums this year is Radio Dept- Heaven’s on Fire, catchy and fun.

I listen indie rock (or generally rock) pretty much only from your blog posts. Thanks for introducing interesting stuff. The Sight Below Post Rock Era mix was huge.

Perfect summer-tune.

I have to go with Shigeto…I love the hip-hop influence–which I find tasteful and not overpowering–underlying the glitch. All of it is great to design to, even if I’m only designing newspaper ads and nothing terribly noteworthy! But even so, like most Ghostly music I’ve heard, it is very relaxing to sit back and chill to. Now, if only I had some super sweet headphones to do that with!

Funny, my favorite of the songs you’ve posted just appeared a few days ago. Surf’s Up is my favorite Beach Boys song. I don’t know how Brian Wilson did it, I guess it’s out of sheer genius that he’s able to conger up such vivid images of sea and surf and sand. The slow, lumbering, sleepy chorus, the coda breaking through the clouds and the tempered and patient verses, it’s as though the whole West Coast was born the day he wrote that song. I played Surf’s Up at least three times the day you posted it, it does a lot for the imagination of a Chicago boy. Thanks.

Oh man, my favorite artist I learned about here on ISO50… its probably a tie between MuxMool and Best Coast. I love them both for different reasons. Both their newest albums haven’t disappointed either!

I’ve heard some real hits this year but I have to say, Onra’s “Long Distance” was pretty life-changing for me.

I’ve just recently been exploring the 80’s revival that’s been happening, and it started with Washed Out’s “Feel It All Around”. Onra pushed it over the edge for me!

It even inspired me to start sampling and writing some ducking beats of my own. I picked up an Akai MPK49, a copy of Ableton, and began converting my vinyl to WAVs. It’s been an interesting learning experience, having played music in bands for many years but never venturing into the “sampling” realm.

Onra’s provided me with some great inspiration to look to! Thanks for that!

Really loving Com Truise’s “Slow Peels”. Good times indeed. It’ll sound soooooo good coming through my new headphones!

I’ve been feeling the Shigeto “What We Hold On To” release. The blend of rhythms and atmospheric textures is ‘spot on’ like my peoples say on the other side of the pond.

Easy, “Cherry” by Ratatat.

“Intentions” from The Whitest Boy Alive has always been one of my favorite tracks. WBA is his best project, in my opinion; I love the synthy 80s feel that so many of the tracks have. It makes me feel like I am living in Miami beach 30 years ago, cruising slowly up the boulevard. Thanks for continually introducing me to some awesome music!

A bit of a throwback but I gotta say – Van Dyke Parks. I always knew him as “the guy that helped write SMiLE”, but I had no idea he released music as a solo artist. Song Cycle really kind of floored me in way that most modern music hasn’t in a while. ISO50 is certainly an informative outlet for new and exciting modern music – but your respect and frequent homage to artists of the past certainly prove your credibility.

So I looked them up, downloaded their album, fell in love with the album, and then saw them live at Pier 17 in nyc all within two weeks. It’s rare for me to not only discover an artist and fall in love with them in that time but to also see them live made it all so perfect. And they play at the Bowery Ballroom Later this year!

I’m no musician, but being an industrial designer I appreciate how AiAiAi is able to bring simplicity and beautiful functionality to such a ubiquitous product (headphones) and still keep it fresh. I’d love a pair of those!

Definitely the ISO50 Exclusive Slow Hands Mix! I downloaded it to my iPod straight away and brought it with me on a weekend trip to my moms house with my girlfriend. The house is located in the southern part of Denmark on the island called Fyn. We camped in a tent in the garden right by the water, and one morning I put on the mix on a small transportable speaker that my girlfriend built for me, and we just chilled and ate breakfast which my mom brought down to our tent. Words couldn’t describe how happy we were, so I’m glad that we had the mix :)

My favorite has to be RATATAT, Cherry …so good! great group.

Shigeto or Four Tet. I can’t decide. Both are almost always on repeat while I’m working.

I really liked Jakub’s post on childhood memories. The photo of Jakub’s mother has a really innocent quality to it. My favorite ISO50 post ever. As to my favorite song/band, I don’t listen to the music posted, BUT I do remember listening to Enya the day I found out my grandpa died, that was a moment I’ll never forget.

Your post about Yagya’s Rigning led me to buy the whole album and it’s been on heavy rotation since. Powerful, haunting…makes me want to drive at ridiculous speeds…or shoot video…or cast off this earthly suit and grow some wings…

This is such a tough call, so many choice artists and tracks have been mentioned on this blog. In the end, I’d have to go with “You” by Gold Panda, that track has been on repeat in my house for months, and the EP as a whole gets tore through on a regular basis.

Runner up, “Costal Break”, such a stellar track. Tycho = Riding bike on a Summer day, sun on your face, feeling fine.

Bonobo Black Sands has been playing for a while now and it still sounds soo good.

Emeralds. So pumped that they’re touring with Caribou this fall.

“Lately (Deuxieme)” by Memoryhouse is the song I keep coming back to on Playlist 9. It has to have the best use of sampling ever, but maybe I’m biased because “Eternal Sunshine” still makes me sigh.

My discovery of Gonjasufi from you guys is definitely one of my musical highlight of the year so far!

The Morning Benders have by far been my favorite find this year, but there really have been so many that I love… it really is hard to narrow it down to one.

Caribou – Odessa. Such a beautiful track with such sad lyrics, and equally melancholic music video.

I’m with Ben on the Morning Benders… can’t stop listening to them.

Cold War, Pleasure Sighs, Mason Jar… so many good tracks on this album, it’s mind blowing!

Washed Out – Belong I love the nostalgic feeling of this song, It brings me some good memories of my holidays in France with my parents when i was young. Butttt… i can’t remember everything. I hope this headphone can turn a “No Fi” song into a Hi Fi song.. and maybe i remember it again… :)

I’m gonna have to say when you first played Memory Tapes. I had no idea who they were when I heard Run Out and it was like a light bulb turned on. By the way…Green Knight off the album would be a great add for the next list.

This is a tough decision, and I’m probably forgetting a lot of tracks but Com Truise’s ‘Slow peels’ is an excellent hot city-summer listen.

It was on This City is Killing Me EP you posted a while back, it’s my favorite song on it.

Favorite song is easily Janelle Monáe’s Tightrope. It comes from what may be the best album since 2007.

By far it was Tycho – Daydream. It instantly took transported me to an Island.

This is hard… I am a HUGE Tycho fan, why I come to the site. So Daydream has become one of my absolute favorites. :) But I am also a huge Janelle Monae fan, so I loved seeing her song on here, and also am loving the Memoryhouse – Lately (Foxes in Fiction Cover) track. Thanks for the playlists, heads up and chance to win awesome stuff!
