Beautiful shots of the original LP400 and concept models of the Lamborghini Countach before Crockett and Tubbs got back from Kragen with all the wings and spoilers. You may recognize some of the lines from the Bertone post, that’s because Bertone designer Marcello Gandini also designed the original Countach concept in 1971.

This is such a beautiful design, shame they had to go and muck it up with all the over the top junk. Although I guess if it didn’t have all that stuff we wouldn’t have such a perfect cliche ’80s car as a reference point in video games and movies.

Actually, as ugly as they were, the spoilers, etc. were added because the car had shit handling and tended to overheat.

They looked so much better back then.

Have you guys ever seen those mini-lambos? These fools
would start with a fiero and end up with a tiny lamborghini….

Yeah I can only remember Tubbs & Crocket driving a white Testarossa.

The colours look awesome though. Escpecially the green one that’s just insane.

On Vice

They had Ferrari Dayton Spyder which was a Vette, as originals are stratospheric in price even the.

Then it was blown up by a rocket launcher and replaced by a Testrossa.

Yes, the originals were uttlerly lovely to look at.

I particularly love the way that echoes of the design survived through the generations into the Diablo and Murcielago, especially while Luc Donckerwolke was in charge of the crayons.

The door wings in every lamborghini car gave a perfect sporty look.Aside from the stylistic design,a fast powerful performance makes it on top.

Man you realize how precise the proportions are when your screen resolutions slightly off.

The whole car falls apart.

Definitely not the case when u see one in the flesh (or with correct resolution)

Lamborghini Countach highlights a cabin-forward design concept which pushes the passenger compartment forward in order to accommodate a larger engine. The scissor doors is also a trademark hinged at the front with horizontal hinges,so that the doors lifted up and tilted forwards.

I have always seen Lamborghini as my dream car. I am fascinated with it’s design and interiors. Red and yellow car drives me crazy. I wish I had this car so that I would have sold my 4×4 pickup truck. Willing to have a test drive in this car.

Lamborghini LP400 is one of the most creative design car for me.I don’t know why but i really love Lambo cars aside for being a fast and sporty car, they havesomething which i really admire in every car concept.

I generally think every sports car looks better with a spoiler. I’m not exactly sure why, but when I see one without a spoiler it always feels like something is missing. We used to have a Mazda RX-8 (with the spoiler of course) and when I’d see ones on the road without the spoiler I always felt like they looked bland, generic, and uninteresting.

I’d never seen these concepts before, and they are wonderfully retro, but they’re also extremely dated looking. The final Countach, to me, still looks impressive and maintains some sense of modern design even today. These concepts, while very cool, scream “1970’s” to me. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I feel like the addition of the wings and spoiler created a design that’s more timeless.

Lamborghini Countach is breathtaking.Looks like a toy car but it’s real. The design is an inspiration and very unique to what we commonly see. It’s a dream to see it personally.
