Thanks to everyone who made it out last night, I had an incredible time and the energy was great. I really appreciate you all sticking around until 2:30am on a sunday night, you’re probably hating me this morning though, wish I could buy you a coffee. It was great to be able to check out the other bands too, I’ve been meaning to see all of them live for a while now.

Shigeto turned in an amazing performance with his drums with some great backing visuals by Alex Headup, Adam Hunt, and Martin Thoburn. A Sunny Day in Glasgow came with some really dreamy stuff and they were a perfect counterpoint to the decidedly electronic vibe of the other acts on the bill. The highlight of the night for me was Casino Versus Japan’s set. He very rarely plays shows (I think the last one was like 6 years ago?) so it was a rare treat to say the least. I had the honor of doing visuals for him during his set which was really a great experience. I rarely get to just do visuals for other artists so it was nice to be able to focus on that side of things. As you might imagine, his set was super mellow and ambient. The energy ebbed and flowed perfectly and made for a very moving experience. Hopefully he starts playing more shows because I doubt you’ll see anything like that again any time soon.

All in all it was a great time, I hope to be back again soon. This was my last show for a while as I’ll be focusing on wrapping up the new album through the early part of the year but as soon as that’s ready I’ll be getting back out.

Thanks for making a stop here on the east coast. Being a fan of both your visual and audio work for years, it was nice to finally catch one of your performances. Looking forward to the new album and would like to say that the live performance of “Coastal Brake” was phenomenal. Well done, my friend. I’ll have some photos from your set up soon.

Cheers.

Chris-
yeah sorry about that, the times I was given originally were all backwards. When I got there they told me I was going on at 1:15.

Hevan-
thanks, would love to see the pics.

Awesome show Scott, the visuals were all amazing as well. Casino Versus Japan, Shigeto, A Sunny Day… everyone killed it. Come back East! Your tunes keep me going while glued to the screen at work haha.

last night was a blast. truly a magical experience. just wanted to point out the visuals for Shigeto were a collaboration between Alex Koplin (Alex Headup), Adam Hunt and Martin Thoburn. All three of these guys worked their asses off the last two weeks to put it all together. cheers guys.

Dude Scott, it was awesome meeting and chillin with you man, thanks for everything! The visuals were actually a team effort between myself, Moodgadget co-founder Adam E Hunt, longtime collaborator Martin Thoburn, and of course Zach (Shigeto) and his family.

Thanks a lot to everyone who came out, words cannot describe how encouraging it is to see more than 450 people on a rainy, freezing cold sunday night, all vibing together and bobbin heads to the music.

that was a pretty magical event. I didn’t expect CVJ to be so ambient but it was perfect for that setting. As for your set, Scott, i felt like i was actually on that journey to the North Pole. A very immersive experience. Thanks

Scott-

Great set last night. It was nice to meet you…totally worth the 12ish-hour trek down from Maine. I loved the visuals.

What a freakin sick show. I missed the 1:45 am train home to CT so I could catch your set…had to wait for the 6:00 am train home. I look like a raccoon and feel like a zombie but it was so worth it. Really looking forward to the new album!

Just wanted to echo everyone else’s praise and say it was great to see a Tycho show in NYC… I brought some musicians with me that I wanted to see your set, but sadly I was the only one who stuck out the wait for the late set. Very typical of NY to do that to you, changes times last minute.. but I guess thats the price for playing at such a great venue and with so many other awesome artists. I’ll post my set of pix soon too. Again, thanks for making it out to NY for us!

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for the surreal experience! I hope this is the first of many shows to make it over to the east coast since they’re are many more people that could only fathom living in the dream like world you create through your music, live in person. By the way, i totally digging the arctic exhibition clips you had mixed into your clips. What year were the clips from and any chance of these clips out on the web?
