Alpha - Come From Heaven
I always loved the feeling certain lounge songs made me feel, its funny how it always made me think of vintage furniture that I wanted to own or made me daydream about specific Verner Panton and Eero Saarinen interior architecture, its so 2002.

Neon Indian I love your music man but that name is just too hipster for me, its like adding an expiration date to the project, so nice to hear Au Revoir Simone vocals anytime I can, really nice track.

I saw The Drums for the 5th time in like 2 months last night, again one of my favorite live performing bands around right now. If you live in the UK, check for live dates, pure pop fun and probably the best and most entertaining tambourine player of all time.

How can you turn down more Washed Out? its like lo-fi AM Gold with an updated modern indie touch. I like what Toro Y Moi did in this remix by keeping the feel of the song within that family of musicians sound.

what!? i can’t believe all the adversity towards The Drums. Their album definitely one of my top favorites of the year. Yeah, there some 80’s influence in their music, but its not specific to that decade. Their music is indulgent of surf rock popular in both the 80’s and 60’s. I took a ride with my brother and friends on our speed boat three weeks ago and listening to The Drums while cruisin the water set such a perfect mood. canuck, you’ve been trying to forget 80’s music? seriously? that’s kinda daunting to me.

Neon Indian is quite q wicked dj name, but then they’ve never been known to be shy when naming themselves. A personal favourite is dj seabeast, but that is another story for another time. Let’s talk about the music at hand.

Personally I haven’t heard the Drums before, and I feel that I need more than one track to properly judge them. My appetite has been whetted, however and I’m going to look for some torrents that has their stuff available.

Till later girls and boys!
