Tycho Live In San Francisco 4/7

Posted by Scott

I’ll be playing a live Tycho set at The Independent here in San Francisco on April 7th for the SOMA FM 11th Anniversary Party. SOMA FM is a listener-supported internet radio station based here in San Francisco, have a listen here.

This show will be with the entire live band and we’ll be running through a lot of new material from the upcoming album (which, incidentally, is very near completion; hoping to have it wrapped up by the time of the show). We’ve been working a lot on evolving the live set and the visuals so I’m excited that we’ll be bringing all the new elements together for the first time at The Independent, which just happens to be my favorite venue in the city.

I hope to see you out there.

Nice typography. I really like what you did with the second line of type. I usually have an aversion to breaking up text like that but you managed to do so in a very harmonious manner.

This show, and all future shows (unless otherwise noted) will be with the full band.

most likely at some point.

are you referring to some other album that had a lot of vocals on it? I use vocals but in a very abstract/sparing way. This album won’t be any different in that respect. There will be vocals, as there always have been, but there won’t be some sort of verse/chorus type traditional thing going on.

thanks, yeah it was a bit of a stretch to break up “the” and “independent” like that, but I felt like the pros outweighed the cons in this instance.

yeah after the album we’ll definitely be getting out there.

Oh Europe is so waiting for you, Scott. Had I accumulated more wealth throughout my short life, I’d fly over just for this one (or any other for that matter), for I have never wanted to hear anyone perform but you.

we’ll see, it depends on where things are at closer to the show.

thanks, but no need, we will be doing proper US/EU dates once the album is out. should be in Austria for a one-off sooner than that too.

love the poster. is there any significance to which lines are connected. i kept looking for a hidden thing like the 10 in the ghostly print. either way, nice work.

I’d give a chunk for a 35″x54ish” of the first lighter version of this poster – beautiful.
