I agree with the above comments. It would be great to know the back story of how to got these great examples of design.
I can’t help but think that these themes used in today’s mainstream media would be more effective and eye-catching than what’s going on today.

Tommy and M McCourt-
Very sorry, some of these things I’ve just had sitting on my computer for ages. Consequently I can’t remember where a lot of them came from. I do my best to research most of them before I post, but I couldn’t find any info on this one. sorry!

I just spoke with Ilan Reisinger. After consulting his father on the subject, they are saying that the Air Canada version would be a copy of Dan Reisinger’s work, which was originally a poster for EL AL (see http://www.ca...lery/?p=2158)
Here is an email from M. Reisinger :
Dear Francois
I was not aware of the existence or the appropriation of my EL AL poster by Air Canada.
Of course there is no way i would sell the rights to any other airline, I am in possession of a printed copy of this poster.
Have you seen or have a copy of the Air Canada version? Do you know if it was actually printed / used by Air Canada?
Waiting for your answer and thank you for sending me the information
Dan Reisinger

If anyone have info on the Air Canada version (date of publication, anything), please send it to me at francoisb@bonmelon.com. I’ll send the info back to M. Reisinger.
Thanks !
