Neil Krug Pt.2

Posted by Scott

I posted on Neil Krug a while back (original post link) but I stumbled on his Flickr again today and was pleasantly surprised by some great new work he’s posted since then. From what I’ve heard he uses expired Polaroid film to get that vintage look. I think someone needs to forward Neil’s portfolio to Tame Impala’s manager.

You can check out more of Neil’s work at his Flickr.

I was first introduced to Neil via the original post and I have to say I am completely blown away by his style, his interesting use of color and his subject matter. So nostalgic! I echo Jakub’s comment. +1

looks like I’m going to have to bust out my 1980’s Minolta again…

you know it’s funny, when I learned to shoot with an SLR in film I didn’t appreciate it, I yearned for the day when I could upgrade to digital and get those crisp and clean pictres.

now that have the digital, I find myself adding noise and vignette and playing with the levels to get back to that film look…

Scott,

You have the best taste, man! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve never heard of Neil Krug before now. The2nd photo up from the last is simply WOW! Looks like a 70’s album cover. Good post!
