Just a quick update on tomorrow night’s ticket situation from the organizers:
Decibel: Ghostly 10 yr showcase tomorrow at the Seattle Art Museum
REGARDING TICKETS
There is a VERY good chance that you’ll be able to get into the Ghostly event in the auditorium. Pre-sale have ended, but I doubt all pass holders are going to show up, which means we’ll have extra seats available for walk up sales. I’d recommend getting there by 6pm. Tycho goes on at 7pm.
As some astute readers pointed out in the Tycho Live in Seattle post, the event is not quite as “free” as originally stated. I checked in with the organizers and apparently only the lobby area — where Michna and Lusine will be playing — is free. The auditorium show — where The Sight Below and myself will be playing — is actually $10 (unless you have a Decibel Fest pass in which case it’s included).
The event is the opening gala for this year’s Decibel Fest, you can get tickets here. I’ve heard they’re almost out so get on it if you haven’t already.
I’ll be heading up to Seattle later this month to Play the Ghostly 10 year show at Decibel Fest. Last year was great so really looking forward to this one.
You can see the flyer for the show above. I went with a slightly modified version of the Chicago poster / Ten Year Print to change it up a little. With this one I was going for more of a flyer/handbill feel as opposed to a poster.
Here are all the details, hope to see you out there…

On a side note, looking forward to making it through my first successful set with the new SSD running things.

Jackson presents The Ghostly 10-Year in Chicago
As Ghostly International hits the 10-year mark, we’re throwing a series of pretty-big-deal parties in select location across the globe. Having torn the roofs off Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Miami’s Winter Music Conference, and Detroit’s Movement festival, we now aim our music cannons at Chicago. The evening’s bill includes music/design phenomenon Tycho, melodic electro legend Solvent, local industrial legends Kill Memory Crash, and Eliot Lipp’s Dark Party. A DJ set from Mike Servito rounds out a night of truly outstanding music.
Here’s something to keep you busy over the weekend: The Ghostly Discovery App for iPhone. The free app allows you to create streaming playlists from the Ghostly catalogue by choosing a “mood” via a spectrum color wheel and a “style” via fader-like sliders. It’s sort of like Pandora but instead of picking a specific artist, you use the mood and style of the music you’re looking for as a starting point. And of course, you can find some Tycho stuff in there too. Check it out here
Update: Sorry, but as many of you pointed out in the comments, the app is not yet available internationally. Ghostly is working out the international licensing issues and it should be out soon. You can sign up to be notified when it is available by entering your email at the bottom of this page.
I’m flying into Portland tomorrow for the Emrg+N+See Festival in Macleay, OR (outside of Salem). The event goes from Friday-Sunday and I’ll be playing a Tycho/ISO50 set with visuals Sunday night. From the looks of the lineup it’s going to be a great show (see below). The full schedule with set times can be found here.
