Came across Stiknord recently and have been obsessed every since. It’s a beautiful collection of Nordic cultural artifacts and photography. The project come from the Kolding School of Design, their own description of the site follows.
The idea behind this blog was to produce a digital mood board to be used as a part of an on going project at Kolding School of Design. By building a collection of texts and imagery dedicated to the aesthetics of the North, we want to ease the often repetitive, time and money consuming process of constructing tactile inspirational material for each and every project.
I don’t know if these are tangible or just mock ups, I guess we’ll have to ask Kim Holtermand, if they aren’t physical then someone needs to print these up because i’ll order the set right now.
I like aiko__o‘s photos because the natural beautiful seems to show up every time. __shigeto takes a ton of pics especially right now while he’s in China & Russia which he makes you feel like your there in the neighborhood’s touring in. Smyjewski has great accuracy and a good eye, definitely a fun follow if you’re a designer and love organization, I love the comment he has for the photo above “Stupid trashcan“.
Beautiful renderings of the “iCam”, a concept created by Italian designer Antonio DeRosa. The concept case would add interchangeable lenses — along with various other features — to the iPhone 5. Very reminiscent of the Camera Futura concept. I would certainly be first in line for something like this; I love the idea of these modular devices that leverage the processing power of computing devices, like an iPhone, that you may already have. I know it’s a long shot, but let’s hope this makes it out of concept-land.
On a side note, still waiting to upgrade to the 4S (I think I can get it December 10th without getting gouged), can’t wait to check out the camera on there, seen some pretty amazing things from my friends who have the 4S already.
Another fresh batch of Instagramers that we love to follow, some underdogs in here like Minehost who I love to follow, our very own Tim Navis and Twopennykarma who we met at the Tycho Colorado show.
Always cool to check out the sites of commenters on the blog. Found Kalifa’s work through his comment on a post last week, loving the palette / cast of these shots. Really great stuff, hope to see more in the future.
Atelier Olschinsky shot some beautiful editorial work for Nevertheless Magazine at the 1000KM Red Bull Ring. Love this sort of washed out style, I’d call it cross process but it seems like something else. Really cool technique.
Here’s the 3rd installment of some highlights and user on Instagram that we follow, lately markweaver has been putting together these bundle item shots that I love.
