Selections of Anni Albers’ pieces from the NGA archive. Incredibly, most of these were created when Albers was in her 70’s. Really inspiring to see someone productive throughout their entire lifetime. I sincerely hope I’m as motivated at that age.
Excellent gig posters by Alvin Diec. That St. Vincent one takes the cake for me. Wish he was selling prints of those.
Also, all you freelancers out there should check out the Paul Rand quote Alvin has under the “process” section of his site. That should be at the bottom of every work agreement.

Ogilvy Paris turned out some nice looking posters for IBM’s Smarter Planet campaign. Some dicussion of the fonts and more posters over at Fonts In Use.

The second issue of Eureka — a new science supplement to The Times — is out and it’s looking like a design classic in the making. Matt Curtis (art direction), Matt Swift (information graphics), and David Loewe (design) comprise the design team for the new publication. Going to have to track down a copy for myself.
