Universal Everything Studio Documentary
Posted by Charles
Matt Pyke at Universal Everything has done some incredible work over the years. Every time they release something new I’ll watch it at least 10 times trying to figure out what’s going on. In my opinion, some of the most creative, colorful and technically complex visuals have come out of this studio. Interestingly, The Creators Project has done a short documentary on Matt, giving us a glimpse into his studio and way of thinking about his work. If you’ve got the time, it’s a great watch and if you’ve got a little more time head over to the Universal Everything site and Vimeo to check out the work.

October 24, 2012 at 12:32 pmWas he the guy behind Advanced Beauty? Always hoped that it would come out on Blu-ray…don’t think it ever did….

October 24, 2012 at 1:28 pmamazing work. I really would like to see the technical side of this production as well. 1000 fps fluid dynamics are the result of some serious computing power. The furry walking figure reminds me of Scully from Monsters Inc. The fact that movie came out 10+ years ago shows what kind of technology Pixar was working with at the time. Guess that’s what you get with $10k sgi desktops :)

March 11, 2013 at 6:32 amEnjoy your break, Geninne, and refresh yoserulf! It will be along, lonely week without you, but I’ll wander back through the archives for my inspiration until you return. And when you do, I have questions about the charming things I see in your space. I love, love, love the new bigger pics.
