January 27, 2012 at 7:41 amHi Scott,
As you (and others), I also love the relationship between music and design. Unfortunately, I ain’t got skills to be a designer, and in terms of music, I’m buying my first «instrument» ever: a midi keyboard. I hope start making my bedroom music soon.
Every time I think in making music, I have the desire to have my own label, my own space on the web, where I can control pretty much everything: sharing the records for free; control the records concept; its design; etc. But as I told above, I’m not a very gifted person in terms of artistic skills, namely, design, drawing, etc.
I’ve got a interest in exploring the history of design, to collect past and contemporary ideas, designs, so that I can build my own style. I have no idea of you already made a post about this theme, but can you make an entry on your blog, with (or about) good bibliography to explore the history of design, or the works of some top notch designers? What are the best books to explore or, at least, the basic bibliography everyone who likes design must have?
Keep up the good work.
Regards from Portugal.

January 27, 2012 at 10:38 amI had just been scouring today for more musicians to follow, and of course ISO50 is on top of it…
Others I’ve been really enjoying lately are:
@facture (Facture records)
@opticecho (Mike Jedlicka)
@taylor12k (Taylor Deupree / 12k records)
and I’m @aldous_ if you care to take a look.
Thanks for another round of great suggestions
