UGH…It’s 2:27 in the a.m and I’m pulling some late night/ catch up work duty on a kids book I’m illustrating with a close deadline in the coming days. Tired as balls and thinking of a million and one things I could be doing right now other than this, sleep being the one, but knowing how important it is that I push through it and grind it out. Prob won’t get to sleep until around 4 or 5, but fuck it. I have my browser camped out on the music archive page bobbing my head and jamming out to “Playlist 12” which is keeping my ass solid.. Hah.

Long story short, totally diggin the new selected list of tuneage I swear these things never disappoint, good shit indeed. pz

@Toran sounds like a rough night, glad you found use for the playlist already.

I wish I moved the Dirty Beaches song down alil further in the order, I think the real gems on here are Brian Eno & David Byrne – Mea Culpa and the Eddie C – Listenin’ cut

@Toran That sounds all too familiar. In those situations, you need a combination of 3 things — caffeine to stay alert, alcohol to smooth out muscle fatigue, and a steady beat to keep the work chugging along.

@F_U hahah keep talkin’ like a clueless child, there’s some young talent here along with some underrated classics, you just wish you could make something that people would want to listen to but even your chance to share with us you decided to bailed out and went anon, pathetic.

God these are getting worse and worse, i feel like i need raybans and a fixie to listen to this shit. Less synthesized hipster garbage and more lusine, brian eno and bibio.

Hey Troof, why be so negative? I love Eno, Bibio, and Lusine, but Jakub posted those artists alongside a lot of others because us people that like “Hipster Garbage” just like to chill out and discover new tunes.

Be cool buddy

Definitely some odd choices in here… enjoyable, if a little incongruent.

Always dig your posts, Jakub.

I know exactly what I’m listening to when I walk home drunk after a few margaritas from the local cantina on a warm sunny weekday afternoon….

Clams Casino.

So great opening this with Austra – Lose It.

I will be happily building wireframes to this playlist today!

No offense to @Jakub, but I agree with @Troof. These playlists are getting worse by each post. This playlist (Playlist #12) sounds like something Jakub would post on a weekly basis. These tracks are poorly arranged and not well thought threw, thus making the playlist feel more unoriginal. Though it was a long list, the first and last tracks sounded great which ending something that wasn’t. As it relates to the art cover, it’s one of the best I have seen since Playlist #4, which was/is also a uniquely and well compiled list. I can only hope that the next Playlist will be a ‘come-back’.

For me the ISO50 playlists have the highest wheat-to-chaff ratio of any compilation out there.

@Jakub #28. I just came back from a 2 week mission trip and read through this post. IMMD. I was like “jet ski’s? Audi’s?” then I looked at his flickr and couldn’t stop laughing. Nice tape too. peace

I enjoyed it! If you dislike a song a lot just skip it. Labeling music as hipster this or that is something I find hysterical! And Troof Some people would say Brian Eno is for hipsters… basically you are the type of people that thought it was weird that I liked Ice Cube and Leslie Gore in High School. Plus most NPR listeners in their 40s listen to the same stuff as Pitchfork readers that go to college now days. I listen to a ton of different music and never heard Austra before. So thanks for that one! And Eddie C is the man. His whole album is really good… go buy it! Forced Exposure in MA should have it.

Good web site! I truly love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a nice day!
