Guest Music Post: Com Truise

Posted by Jakub

2011 is already off to a great start, i’m going to try out a few different series with the playlists all thru the year. The one i’m most excited about are these Guest Music Posts, here’s the first one by New Jersey’s synthwave prodigy Com Truise:

Mesak, one of my favorite producers right now, it’s like next level computer funk.

Oneohtrix Point Never is slowly rising to the same pedestal I put Boards of Canada on, and that’s saying a lot. I think anything Daniel Lopatin touches is sure to be golden.

The System, pure oberheim funk. Being that David Frank is one of my all time favorite producers, I’m always blasting his jams.

The Samps just dropped a new EP on Big Love, I got the vinyl in the mail about 3 weeks ago, it hasn’t left the deck!

Also, remember the ISO50 Dry Waves compilation? here’s the official video for Com Truise’s Fairlight

That ‘The System – I Wanna Make You Feel Good’ track is damn funky. Perfect I’m-almost-out-of-work-and-it’s-the-weekend music. Thanks for yet another great playlist.

GOOD post. Mr. Truise, hope to see you around more. Looking forward to the guest posts!
ps. 100% agree with Luke. Fairlight has *way* more plays than any other track from the Dry Waves comp.

Jakub thanks for keeping the site stocked with excellent new tracks. My ears are like starved beasts for music.

bryant, i believe he IS signed…to ghostly, hence his multiple mentions on this site.

gotta give props to david frank – definitely a major player in 80’s funk/rnb jamz, an extensive resume fo’sho. i only wish he had more straight up instrumental material, less pop-tinged stuff out.

I like all the tracks, but the Oneohtrix Point Never track is really good. I’m only listening to the playlist now, but it really helps with the Monday blues.

That was sweet…like the Jabba the Hutt’s band doing a Boards of Canada cover. I cant wait to hear more. The video was a great fit too.

P.S. Did I spy a cameo from the Hypnotoad (all glory) at the very end?
