December 18, 2009 at 2:38 pmHey Guys!
I’ve got “Walkabout” by Atlas Sound on my iPod, and the warm fuzzy sonic textures make it a treat to listen to. One song I haven’t seen on your lists yet is “Two Weeks” by Grizzly Bear. That jaunty piano riff that starts the song out and the infectious drumming make this a great song in my opinion. And even though he hasn’t put out any records in a year or so, I would definitely vote for Christopher Willits, especially his latest record, “Surf Boundaries”. Great sounds and experiments. Anyway, great job – the lists have been amazing!

December 18, 2009 at 3:16 pmI have been really impressed overall with the Top 50 so far, but the number 1 song is dreadful. Great job otherwise.

December 18, 2009 at 3:34 pmLoving all the selections but I’d say that Toro Y Moi remix of Feel It All Around You should be top 3 at least!

December 18, 2009 at 3:36 pmI really think Washed Out deserved that number 1 spot, but great list overall!

December 18, 2009 at 5:33 pmThat new Horrors track is extremely good. They have really evolved as a group, and for the better (I personally could not get into their first CD…way too meek). Primary Colours was excellent, can’t wait to get into their new work.

December 19, 2009 at 9:21 pmIt’s been an interesting journey through your list, but that #1 song is awful. What were you thinking? I’d rather listen to the abysmal Vampire Weekend instead of this.

December 20, 2009 at 9:32 amBroadcast — “The Be Colony”
That’s MY song of the year. Then again, your tastes are only very occasionally in line with my own.

December 20, 2009 at 11:18 amYeah agreed, the drums should not have made number 1.

December 20, 2009 at 12:53 pmAgreed with the above comments about song #1, but overall loved the list. The top 10 definitely needs some Grizzly Bear and, yes, some Little Dragon would have been nice too.

December 21, 2009 at 12:05 amNumber one for this year would have to be
Jonathan Boulet – A Community Service Announcement (The Album Leaf Remix).
Was an epic top 50.

December 21, 2009 at 2:41 pmListening to The Horrors – Whole New Way and then listening to the Saint Eteinne – The Palace track that you have in the play list on the upper right and I notice a very similar melody between the two… anyone else notice this?

December 22, 2009 at 10:09 amthe drums? really? I’m not sure why ripping off a genre that was terrible to begin with works 20 years later. at least the horrors are building on something.
rustie, fever ray, or grizzly bear could have taken #1 easily.
