More goodness from the San Diego Air & Space Museum Archives on Flickr. These fantastically-yellowed photos, probably taken at the Skunkworks facility in Palmdale, CA in the 80’s, almost look like illustrations.

The top one is a wooden mock up of the initial design, on the Skunk Works designed ‘Stealth Pole’. The others are the prototype, called HAVE BLUE, and what looks like a small scale mock up of the F-117.

According to “Skunk Works” by Ben Rich, the radar tests were conducted at the McDonnell Douglas radar test range near Palmdale in the Mojave Desert. Lockheed didn’t have their own test facility.
