Tycho At The Troubadour June 1st
I’ve very happy to announce that Tycho will be playing at The Troubadour in Los Angeles on June 1st, 2012. To commemorate the occasion I created a poster for the show using photos shot on my recent trip to Baja. Prints are available now at the shop. I’m planning on doing a process post on this one as soon as I get some time.

I love the colors, makes me calm but excited. So much of the graphic work around Tycho and Dive has just been amazing. Can’t wait to see more!
PS! Hope you’ll get the chance to drop by Norway soon!

April 17, 2012 at 9:21 amThere is something incredibly sharp about this poster. Really clearly defined double exposure with the sun graphic.
Really nice!

April 17, 2012 at 11:52 amUnbelievable. I love the poster. Picking this up for my new place. Which is very retro. Scott you would approve :) Building was designed in the early 70’s Globe Lights with floor to ceiling front glass door entrance.
Jules: Saks Eyewear was done very well. Nice!

April 17, 2012 at 2:57 pmwhoa this works out perfectly for me. Excited to finally see Tycho live! Will you have prints for sale at the show?
@davehardy says:
April 17, 2012 at 3:13 pmLooking forward to seeing you in Portland! (missed you in Montreal)
Echoing @jarson, I’d like to know if you will have various prints and music available at the show.
We just bought a home and I’ve decorated my office with a few of your prints… except for Dive, which my wife enjoys and will be displayed in a main room. It’s always a treat to see new work from ISO50!

April 17, 2012 at 6:45 pm@jules – that was a tough decision, but in the end it just didn’t work centered. I thought about making it smaller so it was more obvious that the offset was deliberate, but that messed up the relationships. In the end it just seemed to flow better for me; centered felt a little predictable.
Yes, going to do a post on the new logo.
@jarson + @davehardy – yes we’ll have prints at all the shows.

April 18, 2012 at 6:03 ami can see that. i hate when that happens and you labor over miniscule design decisions that only some designers will notice anyway. looks fantastic. i may have to pick that up.
looking forward to your logo post.
id also love to see an inside look on your process for all the double exposure stuff for the album, especially if you did it digitally rather than film. keep it up scott.

June 1, 2012 at 1:10 amWhat time will you perform on June 1, L. A. ?
Anonymous says:
June 1, 2012 at 11:48 amScott Great show last night in Solana Beach. I had seen you a few times before, in smaller venues, in downtown LA.
Each performance has built off the prior shows, progressing toward a point somewhere up the road ahead. The AV, the live component all seemed to really gel last night. The drumming was phenomenal, and the bass lines were tight. I also liked the way you let it get a bit dirty, on one of the last 2 pieces, very apropos. Big ups!
Seemed like you enjoyed and appreciated the crowds enthusiasm.
