Instagram Photo Favorites: 10th Edition

uber_filgrane – One of the best instagrams i’ve seen to date, it can’t be all iPhone can it? Its almost Wes Anderson like, you definitely won’t find a better use of pastel colors anywhere else within this feed.
houseoffriedman – making a name for using his hands on instagram, I really enjoy the simplicity of his theme and the subtle texturing for the effect.
4ksh – Beautiful washes, it perfectly mutes the angles of most of his photos.

March 19, 2012 at 11:29 amMan, I hate to be “that person” but I feel like this type of showcase should be reserved for people who strictly use the instagram app functionality to create their images.
Limit one’s luxuries and you’ll find true creativity.
Not bitching. Just sayin’.
Love.

March 19, 2012 at 12:47 pmAnonymous, your response to my post accomplishes nothing. Although you might not have liked what I wrote, I’m sure Jakub (or any other editor on this blog) appreciates having feedback both positive and critical.
On the other hand, your faceless and childish knee-jerk reaction is more along the lines of the less desirable comments that occupy space in creative havens such as this.

March 19, 2012 at 12:54 pmI’ll add (despite my critical comment that I still strongly stand behind) I think the images above are well thought out and visually stunning. I especially like the minimal nature and neutral color palette of the top image.
Still curious as to what these artists could have generated with more austere restrictions.
Feel free to debate – not hate!
Love.

March 20, 2012 at 3:23 amLovely, like what you are doing with IG selections. It’s rare to see a curatorial eye pass over the rapid torrent of Instagram images.

March 20, 2012 at 10:19 am@Philip I’m with you. I think it should be regulated to people using their iPhone to take/edit/process the photos, not shooting the image with their DSLR and then bringing it into Instagram to create the effects.

March 23, 2012 at 5:27 am@philip Same here, I agree, although they are nice it’s not embracing the medium but then again how do you define a medium now a days?

March 26, 2012 at 4:05 amHey Jacub. You should totally link to the Statigram’s instead of the Webstagram’s (if possible). It’s got a much nicer layout of the Instagram photos imo.
