20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Posted by Alex
Ivan Maximov created these opening titles for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for a school project. Relatively simple, compared to some of the intricate excellence you see on Art of the Title these days, but I think they are extremely well executed. I really like the combination of live action underwater footage with some slick After Effects motion overtop. Would love to see a longer version.

September 7, 2011 at 1:36 pmI agree, beautiful visuals and a great audio track. Excellent contrast and the texture of the film is very nice as well. My only critique is in the transitions; some of them feel a bit rushed and off-tempo as you bring elements on to and off of the stage. I think a bit of tweaking on the speed of the reveals and transitions would really do alot for this piece.
