Tycho Live in NYC Dec. 13th

I’ll be joining Casino Versus Japan, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, and Shigeto in New York December 13th for the Wordless Series at Le Poisson Rouge. This will be mine and CVJ’s NYC debuts and I’m really looking forward to it. You can score tickets here and check out all the details on the Facebook event page. Hope to see you out there.

On a side note, I just arrived in Portland for the show at The Crown Room tomorrow night. This and the NYC show (along with an Amsterdam date in February — details on that coming shortly) will be my last musical performances before I lock myself in the studio to complete the next full length Tycho album — which is due at the end of March, to be released later in 2010. I’ll be touring more often after the release so I’ll be trying to hit all the cities I’ve missed over the past couple years.

If Minneapolis doesn’t get a tour date for the new album, I’m coming to your house and… we’ll figure something out

It hurts me to miss this one, as the Tycho and ASDIG shows in Detroit this year were great, and I’ve never seen CvJ live. Enjoy, New York.

It was wondering meeting you last night and getting to chat about webdesigns and user interfaces. The show was super swell. Comb back to PDX soon.

Hopefully after you’re done in the studio you’ll make it down south to Atlanta. To my knowledge you haven’t been here before… This NYC show sounds like an amazing night though, kudos for landing such a sweet show!

Dear Scott,

I am not a huge fan of the ink and water treatment you have been using with your new designs. They seem pedestrian in contrast to what was accomplished by RadioHead on their album “In Rainbows”.

I do like what was done with Coastal Brake but the re use of the ink and water treatment especially for this poster seems uninspired. For an artist who likes to sit so high on the hog, so to speak, you are being counter productive by using this technique. I’d like to see you evolve it. I expect you to evolve it.

Casino Vs Japan and Tycho in the same building and playing music is just about the greatest blessing to a state. I’ll be there and I’m bringing friends, can’t wait!
