Weekend Inspiration: Mr. Div

Posted by Jon M

Mr. Div is Tumblr I find myself (and apparently 30,000 other followers) visiting quite often, due to the amazing world of Animated GIF’s and Motion Graphics that inhabit within, designed by Matthew DiVito.

I intend to one day hire this man for my show visuals. Above are a few of my personal favorites.

Renaud Hallee

Sonar and Gravité by Renaud Hallee. Both are ridiculously awesome. Make sure to watch Sonar until at least 1:17, that’s my favorite part. Mega simple ideas like these are endlessly satisfying to me (especially when executed this well). I want to see more from Renaud! Both of these are almost a year old now, would love to see what he’s been up to recently.

Vanishing Point

Posted by Alex

This is Vanishing Point, an absolutely mesmerizing video by Takuya Hosogane. There are some amazing compositions here, even when just viewed as stills. Seriously you could pause this video, print out half of it, and have yourself all the artwork you would ever need to decorate your place (or an art gallery…). The coolest part is how every single musical element effects the visuals — even the smallest little glitches cause something beautiful or cool to happen. All about the details. Song is awesome too; “LePetitPrince” by cubesato. Wish it was longer…
