Ikons+Foxes In Fiction+Sun Araw+Skream

Slow Disco pro’s Coyote take a single off the recent Ikons LP and churn out a dreamy space exploration remix of Honey.

I’ve been hooked on Memoryhouse lately, so when I heard Foxes In Fiction did I cover my worlds collided and rushed to download it.

I recently posted a Sun Araw track without sharing anymore of this beautiful murky material, they really experiment with their sound and follow no certain style, definitely something fun to just let it ride out.

I love hearing what dubstep artist are deciding to produce after an era of wobble, i’d love to hear more of this from Skream. Highly Recommended.

Ikons + Blonde Redhead + Actress + Salem

I’ve been in love with the label Service lately, they have a strong catalog and specific sound that usually catches my ears even if I go back to the early releases. Their latest release is Ikons who’s self titled LP has playing on repeat since last week. The sound is dreamy and druggy with sweet underlying texture that flows in and out of the vocal style, should be a great release.

New Blonde Redhead, you should just check it out and give it your attention.

The first time I heard Actress I was with Scott, I think I freaked him out because I probably sounded obsessed over a sound that might of sounded raw and unfinished but it hit on this sound that touched on Detroit roots that probably wouldn’t appeal to many others, this LP Splazsh is so damn good.

Some people will maybe call it Witch House or something like Horror Beat but without putting into a new sub genre this stuff by Salem is pretty thought thru, i’m really impressed on how fresh, dark and big it is and how no one has done this.

Baths + Lorn + BRONZE + IKONS

Today I have some fresh picks, starting off with the very buzzworthy Baths who recently signed to Anticon. We need more Baths in the beat world so that the point of shows isn’t just all about playing the most hype track but more into the pleasure of hearing the artist perform their music, Baths definitely has some potential to help push this along if he hits the road hard, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I’ve heard Lorn’s name thrown around a bit by Mux Mool, this track Cherry Moon reminds me of a more mellowed out Ratatat track with strings, spot on production.

Bronze was recommended to listeners by DFA‘s Free Energy, their giving away their EP on bandcamp for free.

This last track is the video below, I love how the director did so much with a still piece, which brings me back to the point of it doesn’t matter the size of your budget you just need the right creatives.
