Did a collab limited edition print with Seth Haley (aka Com Truise) for the Tycho / Com Truise show this Saturday @ Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn. I’ll be printing some up for the show so the first serials will be available there exclusively (and as with all the shows, they will be at a discounted rate). See you in New York…

AloeBlacc+Airliner+Daedelus+FlyingLotus

Oh Stones Throw, I love that you give me the option to have the instrumentals, nothing against Aloe Blacc’s voice at all, its great but I love a beat label that gives up the instrumental.

For those Com Truise fans out there, here’s one of his other alias under the name Airliner

I got to take my younger sister to see Mux Mool, Sepalcure and Daedelus the other night, she was geeked thru the whole show but wanted more Daedelus to take home and listen but looked around and couldn’t really find music that sounded like his live set, any suggestions?

The rare chance Flying Lotus remixes you is an honor these days for producers. Ninja Tunes’ Andreya Triana recently got the pleasure and the outcome was something that should of been on Los Angeles.

Com Truise+FOE+Gold Panda+Hotel Mexico

If Kraftwerk got a little more thuggish with their production and Joy Division sat down at computers to make their music then that project had a baby in the 80’s it would be called Com Truise. [all of that description is a good thing] The man just shoots out hits in my mind. Pyragony touches what recent synth pop artist can’t even grasp at, that flowing 80s FULL sound and this remix?! finally Pat Benatar teen girl fans can agree on something with the preppy girls, this song is an anthem for both.

Gold Panda has something up his sleeve, what he chooses to repeat and loop and lay over itself puts a smile on my face every time.

I want more Hotel Mexico, it has hints of Memoryhouse but with that violin intro it gets abit hoe down-ish but in a good way, maybe some similarities to Small Black even, whatever it is I want more.

Komputer Cast – Vol. 1 by Com Truise

Com Truise comes to us via New Jersey which is the home of recent favorite bands like Ducktails and Memory Tapes, it’s a state that I didn’t think about much when it came to finding electronically made music. Little did I know they also have a synth-head brewing up podcasts and free EP’s, collecting library music and old Italo records and he goes under the name Com Truise. Not only does he make great music he also has his own great branding and look, so check out the mix above and download it here for free.
