Some new stuff from one of my favorite designers, Leif Podhjaski. He’s been doing a lot of work for musicians lately (Tame Impala, Bonobo, Youth Lagoon to name a few). Loving that Horrors boxset packaging.
Blog and personal favorite visual artist Leif Podhajsky just updated his site recently, and as usual, mind blown!. Most notably: Dan Croll’s ‘From Nowhere’ 7″ artwork (first and second images).
The amazing work of Australian artist and creative director Leif Podhajsky has been posted about here on the blog before, but I thought I would feature him again, this time as the subject of this week’s Weekend Inspiration. I have found myself revisiting his portfolio frequently over the past few weeks, In particular for his amazing album covers, as I’m working on a few myself.
He also launched the Melt Blog and has been experimenting with video and visuals.

As many times as I’ve listened to Tame Impala’s Innerspeaker and thought how perfectly the cover suited the music, for some reason it never occurred to me to fin out who designed it. Luckily today I stumbled across the answer. Leif Podhajsky, the artist behind the Tame Impala packaging, is a Melbourne based artist and creative director. Really beautiful, psychedelic stuff in there. Loving how he blurs the lines between the found art and the post work, all very fluid. I believe he also works with And Melbourne who have some equally stellar work in their portfolio.
Leif Podhajsky goes mental is best way possible by tweaking, melting and bleeding the artwork he did for the Mount Kimbie LP.
