Hmm, any answers? :P 2 Scott says: December 3, 2007 at 1:24 am It’s Herb Lubalin’s (ITC) Avant Garde with the Alt capital “A”.Eg: http://blog.iso50.com/?p=111 In this example ligatures are used; they are not used in the EIF poster. I can’t find it anymore, I’ll have to check back at home if it’s still there… 6 Brian says: December 3, 2007 at 8:42 am wow ic, thanks for the info scott, appreciate it alot, by the way, am a great fan of your works. Music or Design. :] 7 Jon says: December 3, 2007 at 10:41 am I’ve downloaded multiple versions of Avant Garde, and none seem to have the last letters. It’s a real piss off. I even look in the character pallet and they only have some obscure linked letters… 8 Jon says: December 3, 2007 at 10:42 am I meant to say “Slant” letters, like the “A” and “V” 9 Scott says: December 3, 2007 at 11:13 am Yeah, those are part of Avant Garde Alternates. 10 Alex / HeadUp says: December 3, 2007 at 12:16 pm My oh my, how pretty….$119 tho, so STEEP! 11 Damo says: December 4, 2007 at 1:48 am Cheers to you Scott – thank you…with Illustrator and a little tweaking you could surely make the slants on existing fonts in the ITC Avant Garde too :) 12 Scott says: December 4, 2007 at 10:16 am Damo- that’s your best bet. I’ve never owned the Alts set, I just do type > convert to shape in PS and tweak from there. it gives you a lot more control and usually ends up looking better…. and saves you $120. 13 Damo says: December 12, 2007 at 2:33 am Yeah thats what I been doing lately too..tis all good! thanks everyone for the tips on other similar fonts – cheers!
