iPhone to control Ableton and Max/MSP
Guitarist and electronic musician Christopher Willits continues his monthly series from SoundArts studio. In this episode, Willits proves the future is now by showing you how your iPhone can control Ableton and Max/MSP.
Tune in once a month as Christopher shows us some of the ways he produces his own music, as well as the many cool things you can do with recording software. i have been trying to decode this masters tricks now for over a week. still trying to figure it out. i guess this stuff just comes natural when you have a degree in it!

I have been using TouchOSC for my iphone to interact with ableton/max msp and it is the absolute tits…seriously a glimpse into the future.

Great episode. Anyone know if there is any good episodes/series like Christopher’s specifically on Graphic Design or design in general?? Also any cool design podcasts too???

I was able to use iPhone with VDMX as a MIDI controller using an app called akaRemote. havent rejailbroken, but looks like I wont have to, considering VDMX uses OSC devices. must research further…rad stuff, thanks for posting.

I have used processing to listen to an audio looping program called sooperlooper and display information with touchOSC. Code is available.
