    Yeah wow. Composition, contrast, it all works. Not to mention how dreamlike the coloring and atmosphere are.

    this image also reminds me of pictures i saw of Somalia back when it was under colonial control, very peaceful and Mediterranean-like, in contrast to the distruction of the last 18 years.

    Nice image, says a lot on so many levels.

    i think that one of the features of these color images of that period is that it resembles a painted black and white photo, with an overall grainy texture. the colors sometimes really stand out from each other.
